POTAGER – "garden for growing vegetables and plants used in cooking"

"In the Southern Highlands where I live, there is a beautiful well-known garden and within this garden there is a potager. A couple of years ago I was working near the garden helping a friend set up a new business. Several times a day I would wander around the garden enjoying the ambience, collecting flowers, mingling with the local wildlife and shooting the breeze with the gardeners. But nothing was more delicious for me than a visit to the potager. Here grew vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers along with the happiest chook run to be found. It was here that I discovered my real joy. Almost instantly I would be filled with inspiration and ideas for cooking and growing everything I could imagine. From floral abundance to sweets and treats, ragouts and stews to preserving and pickling, I was truly in heaven, all divinely inspired by this one little potager.

So here I am, with my very own potager where I can delight in nurturing my soul and purpose and hopefully inspiring yours too."
